How We Increased Enquiries In The Midst Of A Pandemic

Mandalay Resort was established in 1964 and has been voted one of the best in Australia. It is a very special place just two-and-a-half hours south of Perth. It is a unique beach resort with high quality, self-contained accommodation. The resort was also awarded as the Caravan Park of the Year by the ReviewPro People’s Choice in 2019.

Last year, the Australian government was forced to close everything due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Some states and territories have implemented international and national border control measures. The leisure activity was one of them, and it had a significant impact on the resort. 

The Problem

The campaign's performance suffered resulting in a decrease of the number of enquiries and bookings.

The restrictions were later lifted by the government, but the campaign's performance is still declining. This is where they came to us to implement new strategies and to recover from the crisis.

What We Did

    We started by going over the campaigns. Following extensive data analysis, it was clear that the campaigns needed to be optimized and that the budget allocation

    We paused the ad groups and keywords that have a high spend but aren’t gaining any conversion.

    We changed this into a Phrase Match in order to reach high-quality leads at a low cost.

    We also implemented Display Ads to target people who are interested in outdoor activities, family holidaymakers, and beach bound travelers.
